Position Summary

IMHO Canada is currently seeking dynamic and motivated candidates to fill 4-6 internship positions: 

Administrative Co-ordinator (2 positions available)
  • Develop operational policies
  • Review project documentation
  • Support event planning as needed

Marketing Co-ordinator (2 positions available)
  • Administer and manage signature marketing campaigns
  • Engage with donors as required
  • Support event planning as needed

Communications Co-ordinator (2 positions available)
  • Manage website and newsletter content
  • Update social media
  • Support event planning as needed

Each internship is available for twelve months, with the possibility for extension. An honorarium and certificate of recognition may be available upon successful completion of the internship.  IMHO Canada’s board members may also provide references for future graduate school or employment purposes.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, each intern will be required to work independently to manage his/her own portfolio or campaign, and also work collaboratively with the rest of the IMHO Canada team to promote the overall mission and objectives. Interns may be required to recruit and supervise volunteers as needed to successfully complete tasks within their portfolio. Interns will be supported, coached and mentored, as needed, by the Board of Directors.

Candidate Criteria

  • Post-secondary Graduates, or Post-secondary Students
  • Proficiency in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong outreach and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently to manage assigned roles or campaigns
  • Ability to recruit or work with other volunteers to complete tasks and activities
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of desktop applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collaborative or social media tools such as Google Drive, Google Plus, Facebook, Linked In
  • Passion for community and/or global development
